Just a few more spots on his face.  and off to the body.  I think his cheeks are too lite.  Gonna add a little paint.  and i don't like the color of pupil in eye.  Gonna try another fabric.  Next time I shoot his picture I will have to be standing.  He looks like a selfie

Eleven Days

Its been eleven days that I have been working on the Panther's face.  3x.  Three tries to get it how I liked it.  redid nose.  redid eyes.  redid nose.  The spots are gonna kill.  Going to do them as I finish a section.  Too overwhelming to do at one time

think I want to tweek the right ear a little bit.  I'm exhausted

Ever have your husband really mad at you......  Waited 14 months to sell house and just think...Our closing date was the same weekend my class in Colorado Springs happened.  This class with Barbara Beasley was a chance of a lifetime.  If you ever get the opportunity to take her 3 day class:  DoIt!                        Once He saw the photos of My Maggie Quilt :  all was forgiven.
And remember my second art class? When I decided to paint the "panther"  Holy Crap!  I forgot there was no good fairy to paint in the Leopard Spots- only me. (whine, whine).  Since, I have been in love with this photo for many years....After taking class with Barbara:  this time I 'm making quilt.  I't hit me again this morning a) number the frickin spots or b) do them as I go in fabric (way too many to number) c) the spots are not equal in size or shape d) paint the spots (egads! never)....
Did I ever tell you I can't stand a hungry animal in the winter?   Well we ended up moving across the U.S. ...4 cats and 2 dogs.  Yappers.  We had to have 3 vehicles because our senior dog Maggie had to have the back of the SUV by herself.. (her hips and spine have finally aged).  And my Lily turned out to be a 70lb puppy.  So we flew in George's brother from Montana to drive the 3rd vehicle for 1/2 the cats and Lily.  George had the others.  And, along the way Me and Maggie stayed in Colorado Springs to take this class.

My Maggie finished and ready for quilting.
The Panther pattern ready with only eyes complete
Want to count the frickin spots for me?

Check back for more adventures from Montana
